Bear Claw Necklace???

Anyone make there own Bear Claw Necklace? I have a large claw from my Alaskan Brown Bear and am trying to come up with some creative necklace or other ideas…. Lets see some pics! Thanks guys and Gals

ive been wanting to do this as well, but do not have an artistic bone. thought maybe braided/woven leather cinching around the top.

Here is mine probably not what your looking for but it is cool to me. I found the claw lodged in a tree while scouting for bears with my kids. My son made the beaded necklace for me in preschool so I added the claw to it by drilling a hole in it and then added the alaska quarter with a grizzly bear and a denali quarter which has a dall sheep on it.

Those are kind of cool. I shot two cougars with my bow, I have the dew claws and I want to make those into a necklace. How do you clean the claws?

I cut the claw off the foot and let them dry in some borax, once dry I used a dremel tool with a fine sanding drum to sand off the excess skin.

I saw this done with a cat and thought it looked cool too.

You can simmer them with some baking soda. Don't go too hard or too long otherwise the claw will start to come apart. Just enough to soften the meat/cartilage and peel it off just to leave the bone.

if your going to wear one you need to make sure your going bald, have a pony tail and preferably drive a Miata. make sure your shirt is at least 5 buttons un buttoned at all time too. and a mustache wouldnt hurt, but just a mustache. lookin good
