I have a 350 Legend Ruger Ranch and it is a nice little gun for what it is (250 yard gun).

Would like to put a BDC scope on there.

Any suggestions?

I was just looking at these at a local store. They had the Vortex Crossfire straight wall BDC for $90, burris bdc for $140, or Leupold BDC for $240. Maybe get someone to price match if you can.

I had a Diamondback BDC on it and zero shifted in my safe.

The Leupold scopes are known to shift zero due to Form's review of them.

I haven't heard anything bad about burris. Anyone have any comments?

Was also looking at Maven but that's a whole nother level...

That's exactly why I was thinking Burris, but also don't have experience with them.

Although the 12 ga I would be replacing with a 350 legend has a Leupold made Redfield on it that hasn't shifted over the last 15 years going in/out of safes, truck rides, banging trees up and down on pull ropes etc. Its not a scope made for dialing like the CDS models he is testing.

Thanks.

I think you'll like the Legend. I really like mine, it shoots great to 250 - I want to test it at 300 yards but nowhere to do that local. Only shot 2 deer with it so far - one drt, other ran about 75 yards spray painting trees out the entrance hole cause exit was thru paunch.

Loading & shooting 170 Interlocks as target ammo (got a deal on them) and hunting with 165 FTX bullets at about 2350 fps. They both shoot in the 1.25-1.5 inch bracket at 100-125 yds without much effort.

Easy to reload, winchester brass takes small pistol primers, hornady brass takes small rifle primers and is much softer. I like the winchester brass best.

If by bdc you want a reticle etched hash marks for holding distance, I’d give the trijcon Huron a good look.

Pick the 308 version, and shoot at 300 ( with 100 yd zero) and reduce magnification until your on. You’d be good out to 250.
