I am looking at outfitters for a Northern BC Moose rifle hunt in 2026-27. I plan on driving up to bring back meat and horns I am looking for a mature moose 50"+ with nice points and palms. Combo caribou would be a plus but seems to be getting expensive because of the quota in BC.

I have talked to the most of the following outfitters and seeing if I am missing anyone and if anyone to look out for. I think I may be overthinking choices and just have to pick one!

Gundahoo
Kawdy
Golden Bear- Mid BC area

Also have contacted the following and haven't heard back yet.
Stone and Folding
Terminus Mountain
Tahltan

Thank you for your time.

Definitely give Jim with Tahltan a chance to respond. He runs a top notch operation. Last I talked to him he had a little availability for 26. That could’ve changed since then.

Glad I got my Caribou last year. Lol. Ya might look at Fire Mountain Outfitters out of Atlin BC also. I looked at them and Kawdy real hard before booking with Jim & Tahltan. If I ever get to go again I’ll probably go with Kawdy or Fire Mountain, still trying to get a moose. When I talked to Stone and Folding they had lost their Caribou tags. Only the far Northwest is still getting any, but even that’s getting dicey. You could book a combo hunt and wind up with a moose hunt only. Jim had to fight to keep his tags for us last year. Book late September/early October if at all possible.

Try Covert Outfitters

guided hunt? Just make some Canadian friends eh.

That being said, I’d focus on the north WEST portion of the province.

The north eastern section elk are doing great but the wolves and the Indians have crushed the moose numbers.

North western bc is the only place with an any bull general open season that’s 6 weeks long. Rest of northern bc has point restrictions and that puts a damper on a hunt.
