Never heard of standby hours. States can have different laws but that sounds dumb. They pay payroll tax on what they pay you so ot cost them more.
Just seems to be a never ending take, take, take.

Always interesting how when it’s someone else losing 100 bucks it’s no big deal but when the company has to lose 100 bucks, it’s a big deal. They wouldn't answer, just simply started is not that big of a deal, it's only a few hundred dollars guys.

Honestly, and maybe I'm the A hole, I'd call your state labor board. They wouldn't answer, just simply started is not that big of a deal, it's only a few hundred dollars guys.
Sounds like it’s time think about updating that resume.Just keeps getting better.
Got my W-2, they excluded about 200 hours of overtime from last year from line item 14 for me to get a refund on, because they can....

Weird, box 14 only shows my 401A amount, not any OT.It should show the amount of overtime that isn’t taxed in box 14 of your W2.

I work for an FD of over 600 line members. I doubt they’re trying to pull a fast one. I plan to give my last pay stub and W2 to my account and let him do the hard work. Good luck on your end dude- sounds like a nightmare. You'll need to ask your employer if they made a mistake, or of they're doing like mine, exempting it to be dicks for 60ish people, because they can.

I'd imagine there's some way to reduce their experience mod rating.Reason given by the company? Large company? Union?
