Mostly because they did by Cabelas already. The FTC is only going to let garner so much market share.
One might argue that they shouldn’t have allowed the bass pro/cabelas deal to happen either.

Good news. Walked around a Cabela’s the other day and was completely disappointed compared to what the same store was just a few years ago. Went to a Scheels and that place was packed and full of gear!
