base layer bottoms for sept in CO

i know temperatures can vary but typically, are base layer bottoms needed in CO during the first two weeks of sept? between wicking boxer briefs and calf length socks i pretty much have a second layer under my pants. pack them in anyways? bring them in the truck and make a game time decision? i've got and older pair of sitka core or traverse bottoms that i could use.

Game time decision for me and if it’s yes, it’s a light weight pair. It’s been quite warm.

I wear base merino tops and bottoms regardless what the temps are because I know I'm going to be sweating. So 100 degrees......yep, 20 degrees.......yep. Getting the sweat away from my skin makes me comfortable.
