This past season, we set up camp at the head of a drainage up on a saddle. We hiked 9 miles. When coming back to camp for the day, we spooked elk that were standing among our tents. I called back a bull out of that group for my partner. He made a good shot and put him down. It was one of my proudest moments. We made all sorts of noise celebrating that night. We woke up to a bugling bull in our camp the next morning. The head of that drainage/saddle, was where they wanted to be.
