32" has the foam padding touching on the waist belt.

I just picked up the frame. I am thinking about taking the suspension and putting it in my camp trails frame as its slightly lighter.

The packs are actually sewn by an outside contractor in the states. Not really "made in Alaska". They are just designed and sold by a specific store in Anchorage and aren't available anywhere else.

Is Camp Trails the contractor that makes the Frontier packs for Barneys?

I don't believe so, at least not any more. I have heard that he very early Barneys packs were built as heavy duty versions of the Camptrails packs, but I believe he since switched production elsewhere and the packs have evolved a fair amount. The frame is still built from the same Camptrails layout, and the optional Barneys "Moose" bag looks an awful lot like a beefed up version of the old Camptrails "Moose" bag, but that's about it at this point.

I don't think Camptrails really exists as a company anymore.
