They're shooting acceptable at 100yds for the load development at least.

Interesting. I’ve never seen ones like that but have only loaded about 200 of them. I like the ttsx but would be bummed if that was my first experience with them.

My muzzleloader Barnes T-EZ have always been perfect. 250 & 290gr. Whitetail death pills. I heard these 120TTSX from a 7-08 are the mutt's nuts for hogs.

Ive had some iffy boxes of loaded ammo recently. Opened a box of new ttsx 270 ammo and one of the blue tips was rattling around inside the box. Some 7mm08 I bought last summer there was a visible gap between the bullet and the tip that you could fit a fingernail under. It seems Barnes has some opportunity to improve their QC of late.

Of course they don't all look like that. You go on to say your T-EZ bullets are prefect. You answered your own question.

When a company make millions of anything, nothing is perfect.

Nosler has Accubonds that tips fall out of or break because they are brittle, better not pay that price for that bullet. Heard of Nosler Partitons in their Trophy grade ammo with voids in the sides of the tips or broken tips.

Let Barnes make it right and move on.

I've always liked the various Barnes bullets a lot, but when I started noticing the LRXs having the off centered delrin tips, I made the switch to Hammers for all of my bolt guns. They still shot well at close range but for the price it bugged me a lot. I did contact Barnes about it when I first noticed it, and they sent me a new box of bullets which still had the off center tips. I have zero regrets switching to the Hammers.

I just noticed an unusual number of my TTSXs really wobble. Like really off center.

I 100% agree those need to be replaced by barns
maybe it’s a regional thing , not 1 person I know use hammer bullets
steve from hammer has tried to get me using 137gr .308 , but we can’t find a good load work up (and not from lack of effort)
my 150gr ttsx have zero flaws and shoot same as the tsx in my 788 @ 2960fps +/-

Maybe I'm crazy, but it does seem these issues with Barnes began to be the norm after Vista purchased them a few years ago. Perhaps it's just coincidence.
