Anyone use these for hunting. Deer & Elk? 145 gr 6.5 out of a prc?

I’ve not used them, but had the same question. From info gathered on other posts here it looks like they fragment quickly.

I have killed elk and deer with the 140 from a 260ai. Performance was great.

I looked and couldn't find anything concrete. Thinking I might have to try some out on wet phone books or something? I know alot of guys using TMK's and some OTM. Don't get alot of feedback on OTM.

Match burners fragment heavily. They behave similar to Berger VLD’s.

I haven't killed big game with the 145 gr MB, but I did get a badger at 659 yards. MV was 2870 fps out of my 260 AI. It hit pretty hard but sorry I didn't check for terminal performance. The badger was DRT.

From what I can gather the 145s have a very small hollow point where the 140 is more like bergers. Does the closed meplat limit performance or expansion? Are guys drilling tips or just shooting as is. Admittedly I haven’t had experience with the 145s but the 140s shoot well for me. Would like to try them in my prc.
