I know that I am late to the party on this thread, but can anyone who hand loads the LRX for a 270 tell me what COAL they found to produce the best accuracy? Working up a load in the next few weeks...
Been shooting it in my 270 ,but I don't shoot my 270 when elk hunting. I wouldn't be scared to use it, but I love my 300 win. What I've found using copper bullets is faster they fly the better they kill. A 270 is a fast caliber and barnes are good bullets , so they should work just fine. Where i don't like them are in the 6.5 cm. They don't seem to pass through even when shot a close distance.Has any one used the 129 gr LRX on Elk and if so what range and how did they preform.
Im shooting a 270 win with a mv of 3250 fps Thanks
