Anyone messed around doing it? I just shot one a bit ago 3 blade muzzy it flew great looked like it was gonna center punch the target at 20yds but took a very hard right turn at what I can only guess is the 17ish yard line completely missed the target? Is bare shafting a broadhead even a thing?

I've done it at ten yards with good results, but that was indoors with an EFOC arrow. I'd really like to try it at a longer yardage, just haven't been in the right place to try it, definitely wouldn't want to try with a cross wind! I've seen it done successfully in a video with EFOC arrows is the only reason I tried it!

The first time I heard the phrase "flies like a field point", I tested that theory out. I've even tested that out with mechanical heads.......by shooting them on bare shafts. Mind you, this was with a compound, but trust me.......they do NOT fly like FP's. I can hit the bullseye from 40 yards with a bare shaft FP. Even those BS mechanical BH's weren't anywhere near the bullseye on the target from even 10 yards.
