Hello again, I went to Hornady's g1/g7 calculator which I've used for years on Hornday bullets with reasonable accuracy. Last year I was having issues with it giving me weird data for a manually inputed norma load so I decided to run my new handload through it and geo ballistics. Geo ballistics says I hit 2000fps at ~350yards. Hornady says ~475yards. a random online solver said ~400 yards. Data in the pictures if you're interested in running it for yourself. Obviously I need to get out there and shoot to see what my drop and realistic data is. But, they're all so far apart it makes me wonder.......

I tried running it in geo and online with their native libraries to get the numbers above. I then manually over rode them to make them match the hornady pictured. 8459.jpg

I switched to AB quantum last year after the Hornady app was being a huge pain to use. I have no issues using the AB app. I’ve only shot out to 500 but it’s also about the limit of my effective hunting distance, and my holds are accurate.

Ah good point, I forgot I have that one. Plugging in my data got ~440 yards.

I only hunt to 300 yards but occasionally shoot out to 1000 yards and everywhere in between for fun.
