Bag suggestion, sub $300

I'm looking for a new bag. I have a budget of about $300. This would be used for backpacking/camping around home and short duration spike camps out west. I usually truck camp as of now, but this year this may change.

I'm not concerned if this is the lightest bag in the world, just needs to be packable/compresassable. Thinking around 20 degree bag. I don't think I need a 0 degree.

What would you suggest? Im not sold on either down or synthetic.

I'd get a used 20 degree down quilt from EE, VIAM, etc. long wide. Should put you around 24 ounces and 250 bucks

More versatile, lighter weight, less money, what's not to love

If you are OK with synthetic, I don't think a Wiggys 20deg back can be beat. It will be a heavier less packable option. I am also considering the Kelly cosmic Ultra Down.

I have the Kelty Cosimic Down 20 Pretty nice bag.
Wouldnt say it compets with the big ones like Western Mountaineering etc but its a solid bag for the money

Can vouch for the Kelty cosmic dri down 20 degree. Have run it from archery elk in Sept… all the way to 2nd season mule deer hunts. Great value if you can’t afford the more expensive options.

Kelty puts on sales/coupons all the time. Can be had for sub $150, probably less.
