Yes, this! And what I meant by "contributing" member was different than contributing financially to the site......it was purely the number of posts he had here (2,700).

Last thing I want to do is create a rift between us members. I just want to get this resolved and move on, and let everyone determine on their own if they want to do business with this person going forward. This community has been absolutely amazing through this process. I stopped posting on a site where I had 1,500 posts because everyone (and I mean 50%+) was always at each others' throuts and comparing junk sizes......got old.

The seller was posting yesterday. The seller is a Jackass know it all. If there was a ignore function I would have used it along time ago on this jackass. I would love to hear his side of the story. I could understand a strap frayed but come on blood on it... Full blown lies. Ban this loser.

The seller has shown activity on RS in the past hour so he must be aware of this thread. With no resolution at this point it is hard not to start labeling his actions as cowardly. I hate to label people but if the shoe fits. We all make mistakes but the important thing is that we own our mistakes and seek restitution(making good).

I have the same pack. I had a shoulder strap break. I bought it new on here 2nd hand and KUIU warranty took care of me. Now the tumble it took 200 yards down hill with a bear in the pack a few weeks ago we’ll see how they hook me up on this next one. Great pack. Great choice. A good seamstress n $30-40 may be able to make it like new. The lady I use hooks me up annually for all my misc tears n damage

Exactly! If this isn't something that warrants a Ban.... I don't know what does. Ive seen guys get banned for being a pest and argumentative ( TurkeyBowmaster) comes to mind but at least he wasn't being deceptive.

I can assure you, the Mods are handling this matter VERY professionally and are not providing ANY protections to the Seller. The out pouring of support has been fantastic......but I don't believe in selling someone out before they have the chance to admit their mistake and make it right. I assume he is out hunting/backpacking b/c he hasn't even answered my texts. I am being patient and will re-assess in a few days. Thanks ALL!

No offense but didn't you already sell him out by posting your grievance publicly and you did so because his private replies were unacceptable and he didn't make it right? I am right with you except for not posting his good name in the original post, IMO it put the mods in a sticky predicament.

Why the hell should this guy have to go thru the hassle of warranty and paiying a seamstress along with washing the pack? It was supposed to be like new. Not "needs warranty, seamstress, and a good washing"....

It matters to me because I would not want to got through the hassle that the Buyer has had to go through. The guy was forced to "make it Right" He did not make it right on his own when given the chance by the buyer. Would you buy something from ebay if the seller had a questionable seller rating? I sure as hell would not. This guys seller rating is 0 in my book.

I am not going to say anything else.

I wholeheartedly agree with the ban and divulging the guys screen name. But posting his phone number? Now everyone that has followed this post could text/call or harass this guy.

Hopefully the worst that happens is "Heather, with Card Holder Services" calls him once a week offering to help with his credit cards.

Just my 2 cents and worth the price charged.
