Bacon, mozzarella and hatch green chili Elk burgers

I wanted to mix it up a bit so I mixed bacon crumbles, shredded mozzarella and hatch green chilis into my elk burger the other day. For seasoning I added salt, pepper and garlic powder. Then mixed well and made into thick patties. I cooked them on the Blackstone to get a nice crust on the outside. They were absolutely delicious. They have already been requested for this weekend.

Sounds delicious but the green chilies come from Hatch NM not an egg

I always add mozzarella to my game burgers just to hold then together better, and green chiles are also great in or on burgers. Or you can just smother the burger in pork green chili and have a slopper. Oh ya.

It’s not a great burger without some green chile on it. Without, it’s just mediocre.

tonight, I tried the burger that PNWGATOR recommended in post #4.

Used some whitetail ground that was cut with 20% beef fat.

Simple but absolutely delicious
