Backcountry charging for electronics

Planning a 5-7 day trip in the back country. Looking to see what people think is the best set up to charge your electronics

No solar panels, and I can get a week of phone charges from a 20,000 mAh model.

The only problem with solar charging is you are usually using your electronics during the day and no sun at night when you are not using it.

Don't waste your time with solar. Can easily get a week out of this anker to charge inreach and phone.

You can save the battery on your phone and ultimately your portable battery if you turn off your phone's automatic updates, dim the screen and put it in airplane mode. I usually have a 10-20 mAh at my tent and a smaller one in my pack. I tried solar once, but it didn't work well. Cloudy days and not enough unobstructed sky.

I’ve got a nitecore 10mh and 20mh. The 10mh lasts me for 6 nights easily with a first gen Inreach mini and my phone. I keep my phone in battery save mode and don’t run tracks with OnX

Agree with the other posters, a powerbank works fine. Solar isn't a great option.

Last fly in hunt we made I took one of those "auto jump start" things. It had a port for a 12 volt plug and the plug I used had 4 ports, 2 for USB and 2 for the new smaller USB's. 3 of us used it all week and it only took the charge level down one bar. My son and his friend charged Inreaches daily and we all charged headlamps daily.

It was my sons hunt for a cow elk on Afognak Island. He could of shot a couple of bulls but cows were scarce. Other than that it was a fun time. I was shocked that no one in our hunting party saw a deer the entire we were there.

I carry 2 headlamps, so I don't have to worry about charging them. My Nitecore battery pack is a 10kma, and I only use it to charge my phone (OnX) and my InReach. Typically, 5 days are no problem unless I use my phone a lot. That being said, I have noticed that my phone's battery is getting weaker, so if my phone were my emergency comm tool, I would probably throw on another 5kma battery pack for a backup.
