Looking for what folks are commonly using for charging their phones/gps devices while backcountry hunting. Planning on my first backcountry hunt this October and outside of my little halo booster for my phone, I have no experience in this area. Looking for recommendations.

Anker chargers off Amazon are hard to beat. I have multiple sizes. The 13,000mah is about the size of a wallet and is plenty for 3 days or so. Charges my galaxy s9+ fast! Ive used many types through the years, and you can't beat the anker reliability or price in my opinion

I like things with duel purpose. I run a hybrid flashlight or lanturn. Charges off solar. Leave it in a sunny spot near the tent all day and it works great and is light and small.

I bought the 26K Anker and plan on using it for all my trips moving forward. I only charge my phone and InReach, that will be overkill most of the time, but at least I know it'll have plenty of juice. At only 40$, hard to beat that!

Another vote for the Anker, I think mine is the Astro. It works great!

I have an Anker power core, it been decent. I get several charges for my phone and inreach. I also have a goal zero which is about the same weight howver I doenst has as much capacity. The unit I like the best is my dark engery Poseidon, its rugged, water proof and has lot of juice for its weight

Anker 20000. I just depleted mine today and I had charged my iPhone 4 times and a smaller I pod 3 times. Pretty damn impressive.

I have also recharged two Nikon batteries with a USB charger and the Anker. Works awesome.

I’ve got a 25,000mah Pocket Juice that works FOREVER long. With a headlamp, phone, GoPro, and gps it’s better to have too much than not enough imo. Keep your phone on airplane mode to conserve power.

This 25,000mah is what I just bought to charge my phone, inreach and headlamp. It has a light on it and it weighs a couple ounces less than my other one that was only 16,000mah.

I use a Dark Energy Poseidon. If you want a charger that is waterproof and super durable. It’s expensive but we haven’t broke it in the two years we’ve had it and it’s been all over.

I've been looking at Anker for the upcoming season, glad to see it so highly recommended!

Ive never ran an anker (may look into one), but i have been highly impressed with my dark energy battery pack. Worked great last year, and that will be what I take into the backcountry this year as well

I've burnt thru two Anker's and a couple other packs over the last 5 or 6 years. (use them for work, travel, everything)

I've switched to a much lighter system. It is the Nitecore F2. It utilizes separate battery cells, so I can easily adjust the number of cells that I bring, depending on my storage requirements. Been using it for about 6 months now, and very happy with it. The total system is about 1/2 the weight of my year old 20mAh Anker.

I just use the cheap ones from Walmart that are pretty lightweight about 8 oz. I get about 2 full charges out of it and that’s plenty since I only keep my GPS on when I actually need it.
