Question about early season archery in a backcountry scenario. If you are seeing elk up high, like above timber in the early mornings, moving just into timber at day break, and vice verse in the late afternoons, would you set your camp down low and hike up to them every day, or would you camp high, but with caution as to what direction the thermals are going to be taking your scent down? Just curious what others are doing in a similar scenario?
