When people say the Henry's I always think of the mountain range just north of Henry Lake in Idaho not Utah. 🤦‍♂️

Heading back out tomorrow after work for a quick 2 day trip. I am going to hit the south end and see what I can turn up. The bucks in this pic were on the south end so I am going to see if they are patternable. Also plan to check out a little spot I found last time that had a predictable group in it. Generally the south end has more deer.

Thanks for letting us follow along!

When does the season open?

It opens the 25th. I'm heading back out Friday to scout through Monday morning. Then Ill drive home and get my wife and we will be back Tuesday evening. This definitely is not a find the biggest buck hunt, as mentioned. I am still really up in the air on my strategy though, and whether to target the north or south side. Right now I am leaning toward targeting the buck mentioned above. Unfortunately we only have 5 days as well so that sucks.

Took the wife out to the range yesterday for more practice and she shot well. If we have a good setup she can shoot to 200 yards. If we are rushing a bit probably keep her at 150 yards or less. Heading back out there to scout some more now. Wednesday will be here quick.

I know this is a deer hunt thread, and thanks for the excellent pics--can't wait to see how your wife's hunt goes! But as a bison nerd, I just have to point out just how nice this bull is. Like, EXTREMELY nice. He's easily a +125" bull, and in my opinion is the equivalent of a +200" nontypical buck. Jaw droppingly nice bull

Thanks, that's cool to know. I was kind of wondering if it was a big one or not.
