Trying to shake it but keeps coming back.

Want a silent or as quiet as possible subsonic 350 legend. Ruger American Ranch Rifle. Will start buying Hornady and Winchester subsonic ammo and then reload later. Think shooting coyotes out of chicken coop with neighbors.

Who has cracked this code and which suppressor do I need?

Take a look here:

If you scroll down toward the bottom, you will see "9mm CALIBER SUPPRESSORS SHOOTING CARTRIDGE/HOST: .300BO-16BA."

Focus on the circled columns:

I compare all suppressors by SE dB or dBA, weight, length, and diameter. Every suppressor is a compromise of those factors. The PTR Vent 2 and FCA FX9 look interesting to me - those are the ones most worth further investigation. The PTR Vent 2 appears to be really quiet. It's probably the best option, unless it makes the rifle too long or too muzzle heavy compared with the FCA FX9. I would personally exclude the heaviest, longest, and fattest options, unless they are exceptionally quiet. For sound, I don't pay much attention to advantages of less than 2 db. Larger sample sizes or tests done on different days might well measure + or - 2 db.

I'm not too worried about the length/weight (within reason) as not planning to be carrying the rifle any significant distance for hunting.

R9 is a really good and extremely versatile can for this application and it's cheap. I haven't tried it but my Dead Air Mojave will work on a 350 legend too and I'm sure it'd be a bit quieter.

I really like the 375 AB Raptor. They were in stock last week at SS. Not the cheapest, but quiet, light.

Will work on any 35 cal rifle and they work decent on smaller bores as well. Ran one on a 6.5 cm and it worked well.
