Back from rendezvous

Got back from the Santa Fe Trail Rendezvous Sunday. Pretty worn out from 2 Rendezvous! The last one was a hot one.

We all had a great time though.

2nd year in a row my Traditions St.louis Hawken 54 took home the win at the booshway ( fund raiser ) shoot.

Final shot I am thinking was maybe 180-190 yards off hand at steel.

I absolutely love that rifle.


Last year i won the jug and this year, the powder keg. Im thinking it holds 5lbs?

Oh it really was! Had a night shower that lasted a good 9hrs. Come morning, it was a blistering 93 degrees.

picked up some wads for my original 16ga too. I'll have to take it up to my dad's some time so I can strap it to my proofing board and make sure it's safe. I've unbreeched it already for inspection and cleaning, all looks well but you never know until you load it.
