Back in early may we had the kit carson (CO) Rendezvous and had a fantastic time! Very family friendly, held on the big sand creek. Last year we had so much rain, that the creek was a river. This year, we had to get some machinery in and move the bridge back into position. Went around the area with a chain saw cleaning up areas for more camps and just trying to safen it up due to low hanging tree branches.
We had a good turn out, raised a good amount of funds to pay for insurance and prizes. Insurance went up drastically from $75 to almost $600 a year which really hurts the events budget. I try to supply prizes and a donation gun every year to help generate funds.
I had a heck of a great time on the range. The ol traditions St.louis Hawken did her job once again.

The ship lantern ( glass door ) is by far my favorite prize i ever picked up. A 6" beeswax candle is extremely bright at night.
