Back country device charging.

I see it as a worthy buy for those that digiscope a lot, specially if you have a camera you can control via phone like the olympus TG series.

Goal Zero solar panel and Guide 10 charger for me. Not the lightest option but I can recharge AA's with it for "non-rechargable" items like a headlamp, gps, etc.

I keep my cell phone off until I use it......I don't recharge, I just bring an extra battery or 2

An alternative to the BioLite stove is the PowerPot: http://www.powerpractical.com/powerpot-v?ref=cat_img

I am going to get it and test against my BioLite with my MSR Dragonfly. I like the BioLite for not having to carry fuel, but you can't beat the bombproof reliability of a Dragonfly. I also prefer the pop and crackle of a wood fire to the jet engine roar of the Dragonfly, but gotta rock with what works. Heck, I may take both with me to the trailhead and make the call based on forecast so I am not having to forage for dry twigs if it's wet.

The Mophie case on my iPhone is pretty cool- good for about 1/2 a battery life so it gets you through most short trips- NewTrent for long ones

I use a Zendure external charger. It works great. I turn off my phone unless I need to contact my family. If I am up high I get intermittent cell signal. Enough to keep my wife happy.

I ordered a Neverded Cell today. Should get some spring use so we shall see. Supposed to get 2-3 charges on your phone at 4.7 ounces.

I have been using the "PowerFilm 10 Watt FM15-600 Foldable Solar Panel Charger." I have been using it for two hunting seasons now and it works really well. Its best to use it to charge a separate battery, then use this separate battery to charge your phone, iPad, or whatever. I've used it to charge the phone directly as well using an adapter. This solar charger requires a "car charger adapter" to plug your iPhone's USB cord into for charging. The PowerFilm solor charger is Made in the USA!

This adapter is required, and must be purchased separately if you do not already have something similar.

Snow lizard looks awesome. I run a goal zero now. Just an FYI campfire has solar power plus battery for pretty cheap last week. Might have some left.
