Recently started using some of my gear and found that in temps that aren't "cold" my 20° slick bag is too hot for me

I also roll around a lot so I am looking at a back country bodybag for several reasons.
I can vent it much better, not as cramped, and the stuff sack for the pillow is a plus.

Curious if anyone has one amd their thoughts/recommendations before I drop the money on it?

I'm currently selling my slick bag after testing out the body bag. I'm not a huge fan of the stuff sack as a pillow but since it is there I still kinda use it. You will notice Cold coming in through the zipper since it doesn't have the baffling, when its cold enough I stick my puffy along the zipper. I didnt think the slick was restrictive but the body bag has a ton of room! The fact you can rock it as a doobie is awesome. Saves a little weight, lose very little warmth. It does create the "more space to heat" issue but I also think you could add a liner and use it in even later seasons than the slick 20 degree bag but I havent tested that out just yet.

I would probably just sleep with some clothes on if it got real cold but that is some good info.

You said save weight. Doesnt it weigh the same as a slick bag?

I guess I should have worded that better.... for a slick bag with the same amount of room as a body bag you save weight. The regular slick bag with a 5 string is barely heavier than the BB. But most people order the slick in wide and often wide tall and that adds a lot of extra weight.

I'm 5'7 and I can flip that stuff sack inside the bag as a pillow and close the drawstring over me and not be cramped height wise. Itll be nice for you ha
