this is my first intro to the can, so unsure about 22lr dirtyness - assuming its like any other rimfire can, honestly with a rimfire can that can take 5.56 just send a 223 thru it and itll knock a lot loose.. lolCouple questions from an uninformed.
1) How many rounds of 22LR before it affects function?
The matches I shoot can be around 150 rounds. Some practice sessions maybe 300. Will I have issues before I get to 300 rounds?
2) Will this work with a bolt action 22ARC? No rapid fire. Normal practice and hunting scenarios.
Thanks.
Great endorsement. The 1” diameter 22LR cans that you can shoot 223 through are not “quiet”. You’re in the 138-144 dBA range with them in 20+ inch 223’s. They certainly can be durable enough.

Great endorsement.
Seems like they'd make a great option for an extremely light weight hunting can for the occasional shot or two....right around hearing safe with little weight or length downside.
The cans you’re posting about the same ones as the OP linked too? Just to clarify. Thanks. Can be. In the bottom picture above of the three cans, I have the middle one on a 21” 223. It is like 3oz or something and is 138 dB(A) at ear.
