The old adage of lightweight, durable, cheap comes to mind. Can't have all 3, so you have to determine which two are most important to you.
I am not aware of anything in the B&C price range that will be lighter, shaving oz/lbs will cost you. McMillan, Manners, MPI come to mind, but those are near the cost of a new rifle, but also are the lightest weight options. I know this isnt much help, but I think if you do find something that is lightweight and the price of a B&C stock might have durability issues.
I have a B&C medalist on a Savage which I thought would lighten the gun from the factory stock, but it made it heavier.

My understanding is wildcat pricing is in Canadian dollars so exchange puts it pretty close price wise

That's pretty much it.
If you are willing to do the fitting/bedding/finishing you can try a Bansner.
Wildcat is a Canadian company so it's cheaper to buy using American currency is what I was trying to point out

Can a person even buy a Banser now ?
I bought one from Brownells a few months ago. Not sure if they are still selling them or not.
Isn't LAW using them ?
Nothing good is ever cheap, and nothing cheap is ever good. Sell some crap you don't use/like and get a McMillan set up exactly how you want.
