I like my Aziak lots better than my Tricer. It is more stable, the ball head is better, and the triangle shaped center post makes the Aziak much smaller when "stowed."

No experience with the Aziak, but I have the Tricer AD and Tricer LP. Use it for glassing with my 10x50 Razor UHD’s and 27-60x85 Razor spotter. No complaints for that use, but I’m not sure how it would do as a shooting tripod.

I’ve had both. Still have the Aziak. Also have a Tricer head as a backup to my Wiser. The Aziak when folded up with the triangle center column is small. Favorite tripod to be in my pack for a hunt. Scouting I take a Feisol 3342. Still super light but much better with big glass.

Hey carl, which Aziak and which Tricer specifically? I'm looking at both, on paper the Tricer looks better to me but I keep seeing people saying they got rid of their Tricers in favor of their Aziak's.

Not sure I’ve used something better than Aziak backcountry for weight. If I wanted a more full size tripod I’d consider the others.

Mine came in on spec at ~20oz.

I run mine with the light tricer lightweight head and like it a lot. I shaved 1.5lb total on my glassing setup with these two upgrades last year and have no regrets.

Is the Aziak backcountry stable enough for a bigger 86mm spotter?
I haven’t tried anything bigger than a 65mm.

I’d say you “may be” pushing it without weight from the center column without a bit of jitter. But that’s a guess. Sure someone has tried it and will pipe in.

Being it's designed to pack in and my pack in spotter is 65mm that's comforting to know, but would like it to be able to hold my 86mm if I feel spry and pack it in instead:ROFLMAO:
