10 points and a quality outfitter would set you up for a very nice hunt in several areas
point creep will keep the premium hunts far away i would shoot for late bull tag if non residentright now im sitting on 10 pts in az. i can draw a number of late season tags both rifle and archery. so do i burn my points now or do i bite the bullet and keep putting in and hope i draw a better tag in 5-10 yrs? this would be my first elk hunt, and i could probably get out for one quick scouting trip. what would you guys do? what has been your experience with the late season hunts?
Only $160.00 for a hunting license, $15 for the elk app and $5 for Point Guard which I would definitely suggest…Put in for the first two choices that you want. You either get lucky or gain another point, nothing to lose.

Congrats I didnt draw, but my dad did. Either 7e or 22n good chance we'll be just south of you around that time frameI’ve been putting in for an Archery tag for 5years with no luck, this year I put in with a buddy and we used our points together but we did a rifle hunt.
This morning my CC got hit, so we’re going. The hunt is for the day after Thanksgivings for 7 days. Waiting to hear if it’s 6a or 5b north. Looks like I’m either buying a 300win mag or a 7mm mag. He’s hunted these units for 20 years so he says the shot could be 250-700. I’m hoping for the close one. Lol
Good luck folks
