AZ Coues Deer Guide

Hello,
My son and I think we might have enough points to do a fall Coues Deer hunt in AZ. I do not have any interest in heading south of the border so AZ is going to have to work. I posted a few years ago and did not get much response, Thanks in advance I am just hoping to have a good time.

Not a wards fan. If you want info on Wards, do a Google search or head over to coueswhitetail.com.

There are a lot of good guides. When you get the tag or know which unit you are going to try for, look for the guide that specializes in that area. Az ground pounders are damn good at their area.

I went over to the website, It does not look like there has been too much traffic there lately.

No personal experience with any guides but if I was hunting a central unit I would call AZ Ground Pounders or Shadow Valley Outfitters if hunting a southern unit.

Maybe because season is over. And that website ain’t what it used to be. You might want to search other websites though with that outfitter. Not sure about that one, but several AZ outfitters have been in the news, the last couple years.

Ward guided without permits, lost his ability to guide for 5 years, and continues to claim it was a "clerical error". He was also caught snooping around on private property but the LO chose not to prosecute. He's been accused of quite a bit over the years, I wouldn't go near him personanlly.

I would say A3 trophy hunts especially if you want a big one-
