Just putting some feelers out. I live in S. Utah and would like to start hunting AZ OTC archery deer. I figure I am buying a license every year why not buy a tag and hunt. I want to stay in the northern part because it is closer to home. Nothing south of Flagstaff. Wondering if there would be any interest from someone in teaming up. I would rather do this as a couple long weekends than a week straight. Going out on a limb but the week of Christmas would be the best time for me to make 2 back to back long weekends. Again just asking as a maybe. It would be more last minute than a long term plan.

If you haven't already, check to see what units are open for over the counter archery deer in December. Not too many that I can think of north of Flagstaff. Maybe unit 9? Even that may be Jan only. There is a good table in the regs showing what units are open when, I think on page 41 or 42.

I was looking at last years regs, I have not gotten a new one. I was hoping they would send me one. Dec 14 - Jan 31 was units 10, 15, 17, 18, 19. I know some are south of Flagstaff but they're close enough. I do not have one picked. I have not done much research. Talked to the biologist in 10 but that's it.

The archery-only non-permit season is August 22-Sept 11; Dec 12-31; and Jan 1-31. I hunted in 7E north of Flagstaff.

Units open are 1, 2a, 2b, 2c, 3b, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 6b south, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11m, 15a, 15b, 15d, 16a except Mohave county park lands, 17a, 17b, 18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 20a, 20b, 20c, 21, 22, 23, 24a, 24b, and I'm stopping here. More in the regs.
