My arrow weight is 488
My bow poundage is 70 lbs
My fps is 263
My draw length is 29
.5 high 4 fletching

My axcel landslide sight seems to max out at around 75-80 yards before fletching hits sight housing. Peep is 5.5 inches up from d loop. 30 yards pin is centered in housing, it’s a 3 pin sight. I wanted to use these arrows to hunt with as well as long range target practice. Is my only option a new set of arrows that weigh way lighter?

Heavy arrow.
Slow bow.
Short face.

I’m at 6” peep height.
30” draw. 467g arrow at 303fps
Mach 30 DS.

My single pin Landslyde gets me to 105 yards
.50 vane height as well.
With my 3 pin, it’s over 120 yards.

Sounds like you’ve recognized where your problems are.
Maybe lighter arrow and fast bow.

So if I buy arrows that weight 385 total, what’s your guess I could get to for distance? Over 100 yards?

An 1/8" adjustment to your peep upwards could make a huge difference. That much of a movement generally doesn't change much, if anything, for most people.

The other option is to move the sight closer to the riser if possible.

Ok I will try moving the sight closer this weekend.

Smaller scope housing will buy you some yardage. I went to the small UV scope from a larger Axcel. Bought me almost half an inch of travel. even with my old bow at 275 fps (70 lbs 460 grains) I could get 120 with the top pin.

Raise peep a bit, move sight closer to riser if possible, Look at how your fletchings are oriented. Mine kind of sneak around the sight housing. Maybe go 3 fletch to save a few grains.

Just some stats for you. Sounds like ours aren't dissimilar if you go to a lighter arrow. With my new Lift X this year, I am shooting 71 lbs, 28" draw, 378 grain arrows right at 301fps. 130ish range with the top pin. Haven't even sighted in the 2nd one. Honestly for TAC and practice it is fun, but won't ever shoot at an elk that far unless it's a follow up so for me anyway it's all just an exercise in fun.

Just remember to re-zero your 20 yard pin, or whatever your top pin is. If i were to choose I would move my sight in first. I did this with my wife's bow and she was able to get to 100+.
How much vane clearance do you give between sight housing and vane, 1/4 inch? Or closer or tighter?

1) Moving the sight closer to the housing. 2) Move the peep up. 3) Lower the individual pins within the sight housing if possible. 4) Try shortening the draw length
5) smaller sight housing 6) arrow modifications.

There are some good suggestions herein, most specifically moving the sight closer and raising your peep. My preference would be, if you can, to do it in that order. Additionally, depending on your pin configuration, if you can lower the individual pins, do so and raise your housing at the same time. I can’t do that with mine because as a two-pin vertical, the pins are fixed. If you have horizontal pins which can be moved separately, you can do this. Good luck.

I did move my sight closer and I aslo think I will just learn and get used to the speed mods, they feel ok after a few shots . I do know I shaved 5 yards of drop off at 50.
Did you move the sight as close to the riser as possible?

I did one setting back from the closest. For some reason it’s where I’m the most accurate, so if guess if I want to stretch out further than 85-90 yards I will have to buy some lighter arrows.

Ok Good. The accuracy thing is probably more in your head. It could help slightly with tuning but I doubt that.
