Yeah. 5 fledglings. Pretty sure theyre great horned but hard to say
@Huckleberry Hound. First picture in post #136, owls??
, im not so hip to the bird thing, and theyre young. Million pics and videos of them, and saw a couple when i walked up there. Nest mustve been rright there because the babies seemed to use that trail as their training grounds. Lots of owl action here. I see and hear them regularly. Also have a whole messof videos of coopers or sharp shinned hawks breeding on that elevated log across the trail. Real comical stuff. Theyd be doing their thing and one of them would be making a ridiculous whimpering noise, then when the male finished hed hop off, stand next to the female, and shed turn her head and look at him and do a crazy clown laugh, mocking him. I feel his pain....

Pretty sure ive got this guys number. Going to go after him next year, weather and work allowing. He lives right there all year until the snow pushes him down. So any given year late archery may or may not be doable, totally unpredictable. But ill be ready. Last pic of him was nov 15th mid day on another camera. Dont think hes getting any bigger. Last year he was the same size but had a g5 and a split g3. This year a clean 5x5. And incase it wasnt obvious, its the buck on the right im interested in. That forky on the left may need a year or two. HUNT0136_copy_800x449.jpg

I’ve never seen a whitetail fawn with a rack that nice. Especially this late in the year.

Hunted this guy for two years. My buddy got him. He went from a double droptine on one side to a double droptine on both sides the following year. I made a set of reproductions when he was a single droptine to a double droptine. We were able to find the sheds by scouring a 1000 acre boundary.

Rack looks crazy by its shear size on a form. I made a bunch of reproductions for the 4 of us that knew him intimatly.
