Which one would you recommend and why?

Athlon and vortex both reputable brands but not fan of the reticle and non illumination.

Arken newer company and questionable QC and marketing. But reticle is what I like.

Have had all 3 at some point.
I still have 2 Midas Tac’s. My experience with them are on .22LR

Diamondback 6-24 was very milky above 18x-19x. Made it really difficult to use.
But it was the most affordable at the time. I do t recall any other real issues with tracking, zero or eye box.
Sample of one.

Arken was a 6-24 and the only example I had wouldn’t zero at 50 yards. Ran out of windage. Sent it back and sold the new one. The ones I’ve looked through had a very fine reticle. Difficult for me to use and strictly personal opinion. I don’t recall any issues with the eye box. Never really had a chance to test tracking or zero retention. Sample of one for me.
I know other people who have used them with great success.

I’ve had (4) Midas Tac’s. One 5-25 and 3 6-24. Still have the 5-25 and one 6-24.
Personally have had nothing but great success with these. Glass and dialing hve been great. Glass is the best of the 3 scopes you’ve mentioned (IMO).
There have been times where I’ve had to adjust zero from trip to trip.
Those time consisted of about a half MOA at 50 yards. So, yes it did move, but not a lot. Eye box is very forgiving. Turrets and zero stop are great and I liked the capped windage.

I’m not sure if your intended use but if the 3 you mentioned, I’m taking an Athlon every time. IMO.

2 Arken EPL's here, my son has 2, and one of my main hunting buddy has 2 as well. No issues whatsoever of any kind. The 3 Athlons we have (2 Ares, 1 Cronus) have done just as well.

Have an Arken SH4J Gen II 6-24 x 50. Tracks great, turrets are very good. Has been fine on my Tikka Super Varmint 6.5CM. Can recommend.

Own both the midas tac gen 2 and an epl 4-16.

Get the midas tac. More robust, better glass.
Only thing I’m not fan of is the tree reticle on midas. What’s keeping eyeing the epl4 is the vhr reticle that also illuminates.

Mine has the simple aprs mil reticle without the tree. Have never really needed illumination. The lume on the arken is decent but not great.
