Anyone out there with a Heras SPR on rifles chambered in heavier recoiling cartridges like a 300 WM? My understanding is the Heras was developed by Athlon for airguns, so that paired with the lower price point makes me wonder if it will hold up to the heavier recoil of a Win Mag.
I was originally planning to put a Helos BTR (could get for about $450) on my Browning BAR, but they appear to be backordered for months. Presumably due to the tariffs. My backup plan to that was an Arken EPL4 4-16x44, but their current lead times are listed at 6-8 weeks. I've heard great things about them, but I'm not sure I want to rely on those lead times considering some of the recent Arken stories I've heard. I'd like to start getting out more to shoot before the weather gets too hot, but also don't want to spend more than $500 (hard limit for this rifle since I just bought a Kowa spotter) for a solid scope.
Thoughts? Other options?
