My wife had the Lowa Renegades. They were super comfortable but within a year or so with the whole tread became detached and the sole starting flapping. She wears Hanwag now. I first thought it was just an issue with that set of boots since I have had 2 sets of Lowa Tibets and 1 set of Lowa Zephyr Desert boots without an issue but my mom also had a set of Lowa Renegades and the sole became detached as well. So I lost any confidence in the Renegades.
I wore Asolo Fugitives and Asolo FSN 95 over in Afghanistan. The Fugitives are tough boots, the only thing is the hard toe cap can rub your toes raw depending on terrain and the shape of your foot. So it would be something to keep in mind, especially if you are going to be going up and down a lot in them. Plus they don't have the ankle support that a heavier boot like the Lowa Tibet gives you. So I would not recommend them for heavy packs in rough terrain, I used the Tibets more than the asolos whenever I knew I was going to be carrying a lot of weight.
I don't have any experience with the Mtn trainers.
