I'm looking to build some arrows for my daughter. She just started shooting one of the youth hand-me-down bows from her older brother. She's 5'7" and just picked up shooting. I dropped the bow down to about 34 pounds and it is at about 26"/27" draw length. Charts show 600 spine. Would it hurt to go 500 in case she likes it and ups her poundage as she gets more comfortable? I don't foresee her hunting with me but you never know. She just likes to shoot right now and we only go to the range on weekends currently.

I would go with a 500 spine and get them light so it's fun for her. It's going to be tough for her to be overspined and notice.
