Im fairly new to compound archery and every time I leave the range im left scratching my head saying what is going on!? For context im doing ok at 20-40yrds and can consistently keep a decent group. At 50yrds it all goes down the drain and I can't see any consistency. I'll attached a photo of my 50yrd group and it looks like I have two separate groups one where I am aiming and another way high and right. I can usually keep two arrows together then have one "flier" in a 3 shot group. Arrows are Victory HLR's 300's @27.5" stock 50gr halfout and 125gr point weight, DCA mini sabers 2° to the right.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong or what could be causing this to happen?1000025245.jpg

^^^ this.
Also just try shooting groups of 3 arrows rather than 6.

Almost every time I ask this same question about poor grouping the answer is "ME".

Could be quite a few things. My first thought is how do bare shafts shoot? If they fly straight then maybe vane contact. If I rule those two out then maybe your release or stop by a bow shop to make sure everything is set correctly (cams timing, etc).

Just like any sport if you want to be good get a real coach or mentor to watch you shoot and checkout your equipment.

So many little things that add up and it’s hard to correct them if you don’t even know what to look for

Assuming it isn't an arrow issue of some kind, the first thing that came to mind for me was inconsistent anchor point. The issue becomes worse and worse the further you shoot.

I'd weigh/spin/mark arrows as step one and see if there are consistent issues with certain arrows. Inconsistent anchor point can happen even if you are really experienced.

Have you tried marking arrows and seeing if specific arrows are flying wild?
Yeah I have them marked numerically but still haven't been able to get them to group consistently at that distance to figure out which ones are good vs bad. Probably just me but they all seam to be really good 40 and in so far.

Im almost certain it is me but just can't figure out what I am doing wrong/different for that big of a change to happen. That was one of only a few times I shot 6 at a time I just wanted to see if my theory was correct. I normally shoot 3 shot groups and will have 2 close and 1 flyer and wanted to see if that held true with more arrows down range.

I just took it to a bow shop last week to check everything over and check paper tune and everything checked out. I have not shot a bareshaft through it yet. I due want to try that and see what happens.

If you are fairly new to shooting, you will get fatigued pretty quickly. I may not feel like I'm having trouble holding or drawing when I haven't shot in awhile but if I shoot more than a few without a break when it's been awhile, I notice it quite a bit. I would shoot two arrows and go get them. I bet you do better doing that 3 times than shooting 6 arrows in a round. If your form is bad after a few and you keep fighting it, you're just building bad habits, IMO. I'm no champion archer though either so your mileage may vary.

I am using a Stan onnex clicker currently but might try something else. I feel like the click makes me jumpy if that makes sence.
I have a jump scare flinch using a release with a click, can't get over it and I find it very distracting. Most shops/ranges will let you try before you buy. Try a bunch.

When I find myself shooting high right it is from trying to "see" the arrow after the shot and peeking around the bow. Happens more as I try harder.

I had a Stan perfeX (loved that release) and a Carter wishing now I would not have gotten rid of them haha. Might go back at try the Carter two simple
