Arrow Fletching

So I did something new tonight while fletching arrows. I have seen them for years but never used them. I tried out the NAP quickfletch. Two arrows in 20 seconds is way quicker than I can do with my fletching jig. Now to see how they hold up. Does anyone have any real world experience using the NAP quick fletch?

I tried them a while back and did not like them. I found they would creep forward from hitting the target. Some as much as an inch after 30-40 shots. I called them and they suggested sanding shaft or small amount of glue to hold them in place. This was on gold tip XTs. They also said I didn’t have the water hot enough. Not true
I also spine index all my arrows and it wasn’t always perfect with aligning to the right spot.
Just my experience.

I have used the Hellfire quick fletch for a couple years now. Much easier and more cost-effective to use those on my practice arrows and the ones I use for whitetail.

I've used the Quick Spin Speed Hunter vanes for the past 12+ years, but I don't think I could ever try the Quick Fletch. Too much of a control freak.

I used the ones with the quick spin crossbow 3" low profile heads because that is the only way I could find those vanes. They flew excellently but durability was somewhat lacking, for regular shooting they were fine but if you ever shoot through something they will slide off the back. I was also using them on 4mm shafts so they probably fit tighter on 5mm or 6mm shafts.

I would not hesitate to use them again as far as accuracy and ease of use, I really prefer to fletch my own now and doubt I will ever go back. I really wish NAP would sell that low profile QS ST separate from the QF, I doubt I would use anything else.
