Decided to do a spontaneous durability test while practicing from my saddle yesterday. Totally on purpose, not at all me bouncing the limb off my shin. After some careful recovery work the arrow is perfectly fine!

Let's see some "durability test" shots from everyone else preparing for the fall

Years ago I accidentally shot a gold tip xt hunter ~280 FPS into a cinder block wall at 9’. Other than the nock popping out everything was fine.

I blew 3 nocks off last weekend. I foot with 2219 and that helped A BUNCH.

Practicing this year I managed to use the wrong pin twice from 50 yards and both shots were low into my target base. Both shots are through a good 2X4 with 200 grain field tip and single bevel broadhead. Neither arrow was damaged. Sirius Orion 250 shaft with Ethics insert and collar. Dennis, what kind of broadhead are you using? I'm sure that's a dedicated practice head now but how did it hold up after that impact?

Rick 653, Broadhead is a Cutthroat 200 grain from Rocky Mountain Specialty in Colorado. Head showed no damage and did spin true after the shot. I will resharpen it and it will be ready for this year.
