I am currently shooting a Mathews Monster 6 with the the Monster 7 mods (much smoother draw) I keep it set around 65lbs but can turn it up to 70lbs if ya think I should. The draw is 28" and the riser is 6". Last time I used a crono it was around 302-304 but I have since switched to a new string made by Bluff Country Bow strings (Great String)
I switched to Gold Tip Hunter XT (black) 7595 last year after trashing to many Maxima Hunter 350's.
I have been using 100 grain G5 Montec but planing to switch to VPA solid broadheads this year.
My question is should I stick with 100 grain broadheads or should I go with a little heavier?
Also any other suggestions or help is appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

i rock the g5 solids as well. great broadhead. i'm with the other guys 100g. I find no reason to go to 125

125 is superior in most all respects, but with your setup and the aggressive cams of the monster, you'd likely need to go to .300 spined arrows with a 125, at least at 70#. If you don't want to switch arrows, I'd stay with 100 gr. And I do think the switch from Montec to VPA is a good move too. You are going from cast pot metal to fully machined quality steel. Easier to sharper and stronger.

Keep the 100 grain broadheads and if you feel like adding weight get some gold tip screw in weights. I use maxima hunters with 100 grain broadheads but have 20 grain screw in weights on the back of my inserts. My total arrow weight is 400 grains and I shoot 290-292 fps. Don't feel like you need to change that setup is more than adequate for everything outside of dangerous game.
