I'm still using a duplex timberline 2. Really like the layout. Only Kifaru bag I've ever owned.

I sold mine and bought a 44 mag when they had come out with it and love it but I still miss my DT2 every day.

Maybe I'm just an idiot (most likely the case) but I never got the appeal of kifaru packs. Every video I saw looked like you'd need 2 hours and a PhD to figure out how to put the pack together with all the straps and buckles. Add in trying to do that with a boned out animal, in the dark, in freezing temps... I'll pass.

You have identified the exact appeal. It's modularity, multiple packs, lids, and pockets available to fit your needs. Once the pack is set up there's no fuss and it's just like any other bag.

It will be interesting to see what packs he uses in the future. When he and Brian Call broke up, I found it really funny how butt hurt Aron was that Brian wasn’t using a Kifaru anymore, I guess we’ll see if hypocrisy pops up.

Well actually The first Kifaru bags were just one big bag. Minimal if no pockets. Very simple.

The draw to me for Kifaru was the comfort with loads. I’ve tested alot lot of packs and they always seem to carry weight the best for me.
