Had an EP 4-16 that I just sold. Wasn’t great at low light and the turret screws kept coming loose. Wasn’t bad for tracking and range work, but not a great low light scope

This is true. Low light isn't the best but it's very good until the sun drops. I didn't purchase mine for hunting though. I had the same issues with the turret screws. Two things on that. They are oversized so tighten them down tighter or use a bit of finger nail polish on them. I've never had an issue since.

Had the same issue with the turret screws on my SH4J. Not sure, but I think Arken has addressed (?). A drop of low strength Vibratite or Loctite and no more issue. When I got an EP-5 for one of my range rifles, I just went ahead and applied the Vibratite to the screws after initial zero. Have had great service out of both scopes .
This past deer season, my Tikka with the SH4J slipped out of a 15 foot elevated blind and landed on the elevation turret. Checked reticle, tracking and zero. Was as though nothing happened !
