Are Cordura seat covers the cover of choice?

I was blessed with a new job and a brand new F-150 XLT, the absolute nicest truck I've ever had. Hope to head to Wyoming for my first antelope hunt with my son this fall. Either way, I want to purchase good seat covers for it and just keep the truck as nice as possible for as long as possible. I don't know how often this company would care to replace it. To honor their investment in me, I want to try to keep it good.

Are cordura seat covers the best as far as protection? Does sand still work its way through?

Any brands I should be looking at or staying away from?

I have cordura, main complaint is they do not breath well. Wear like iron, I have ruff tough since spring of 2013 in my jeep, very little wear, and I’ve used the jeep for guiding, so lots of in and out!

As a comparison, I have the Toyota TRD covers, had them 370k miles / since 2006. They are mostly neoprene but the middle portions of the lower seat (like where your ass goes) is rubber. I would echo that they don't breath very well at all. Seem damn hot in summer and damn cold in winter but I've grown used to it. They (drivers side only) are starting to fall apart in places. I'll be watching this thread for tips on replacing them.

I had neoprene rough country for my 18 f150, I really liked them. Probably only put 8000 miles on them until I traded it in so I cant speak to durability.

Marathon or headwaters. I put over 400,000 miles on the f-350 marathons and never touched them except when I rebuilt the drivers seat. These are on my f-150.

I've used both cordura and neoprene covers and I definitely prefer the neoprene for general comfort and they are also a bit nicer to sit on when you first jump in the truck during the winter on below zero kind of days. The neoprene also look nicer. It seemed I had more dirt and stuff work through the seams on the cordura covers too.

I have had the Carhartt duck material seat covers in my Ram 2500 for the last 5+ years with just over 90000 miles on them and besides being a little sun faded they have held up great. They are treated with a stain guard and I get pretty dirty at work everyday, spilled coffee and worn blood stained clothing on them and it all has washed out really easy. Super tough, would definitely recommend them to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to buy them again for myself in the future.

Wet Okole are fantastic and worth the expense. 250k miles over 15 years of hard use on a single set, still holding up great in the 08 F150. Another 170k on the set in a 06 F250.

I ordered my 3rd set from Marathon seat covers about a month ago. They have been awesome on my other two trucks. Great fit and durability. Worth the price and wait. From what I've heard Headwaters is just as good. These would be my top two choices

Marathon vote here. My buddy has neoprene i can't remember the brand but top of the line. Only thing with those is after time the dogs nails tore them them up. Nails never effected my Marathons.

My son has had Headwaters covers and they've been great. He's a contractor so they really get a workout. He ordered the bow carrier behind the drivers seat and bino holder behind the passenger. They look good, bulletproof and fit perfectly.

Another vote for Marathons. I’ve had mine for over 5 years and 75k miles in my F150 and they are still in perfect shape.
