Are $1000 scopes optically similar to $1000 binos?

I’ve really been enjoying my Maven B2’s and they’re making me want to upgrade my rifle scopes. My question is how do I go about finding scopes that are in the same league optically as my B2’s? I can’t really gauge optical quality in the stores. The scopes I’m interested right now is the Razor LH line, but looking through them in the store, they look great and so do cheaper scopes that I know won’t look as good in the field when conditions aren’t ideal.

TL;DR what scope lines/price range is equal optically to Maven B2’s and other $1k binos

I am not sure what you have to go to for the glass to be the same quality as the B2's. Are you shooting long range a lot? I don't take shots past 3-400 yards, so I haven't ever felt I needed better glass on a scope. I only am behind it for a couple minutes. I think the dependability/ruggedness is more important on a scope. Sorry if this didn't answer your ?, but just my opinion.

The Swaro Z3 line is great glass in that price range. It's the lightest weight in the Swaro line up. I own three of them and are a great hunting scope. No paralax adjustment to mess with. My newest 4-12x50 is amazing

I’ve been looking at those too but haven’t fondled one yet. How do you like their reticle?

The Nightforce SHV line has the same glass as the more expensive NXS line, I prefer it over the Swaro Z3 glass and it is mechanically superior as well. I think you can get great glass for $1000 or less above that you are paying for some optical improvements but mainly mechanical improvements. I'm very happy with the overall build quality of the Nightforce SHV line, I would buy this over a Swaro Z3 any day unless you just really want to count oz. But as the GREAT Ryan Avery told me, when you get the buck of a lifetime in front of you do you want a proven repeatable optic or one that will fail, mechanics are key unless you set it and don't mess with the turrets.

I would also look at the Sig line whiskey 5 or 6, getting great reviews.

They have different reticles. I own two with BRH and one standard duplex. Like both and personally very much enjoy the scopes in general. I've never played with their z5 or z6 line up but for strictly hunting I like the simplicity of the Z3 and the price point

For me anyhow I don't have ballistic turrets. Scope is sighted in at 200 yards put the turret caps back on and never touch them again. I guess it really depends on what and where u hunt. Long shots here are 200 yards. Most are between 100-150
