Never found them to be warm. More of just a light shield against the elements thus not worth the hassle of messing with them.

I’d just go with a lightly insulated boot, say 200gram, and then a heavier merino sock as needed.

Then if it is actually cold, say 0 degrees or below, use these:


These are actually insulated unlike the artic shield. But honestly, mine rarely get used as it’s not often cold enough that a 200gram boot and a heavy merino wool sock can’t cover it. Surprised seeing guys using Artic Shields with toe warmers in the mid to upper 30s? You guys wearing plain old thin cotton socks to hunt?
