AR advice

You've gotten some great info so far so I'm not even going to try to add much except that I currently own a Rock River that I've had for years and never had any issues with, its a solid gun.

I also own and for the money recommend the M&P sport, I bought one simply as a truck gun and it has been flawless.

Go smith or rock river in that price range. LMT or BCM if you want to get a bit more spendy - $800 to $900. Anything more than that like noveske or something and you are buying "pro grade" and paying for it.

A few other thoughts:
Don't build your first one. It isn't that hard but you may not like the result and you don't have CS if there is an issue.
Those things multiply like rabbits. It can be an expensive habit.
By soon. And lay on a good supply of mags. Pmag a for $15 each. The political winds are blowing.

I have had a Colt and had to sell it back when I got laid off. I wish I hadnt. I now have a DPMS with a 16 inch Bull Barrel. It shoots fantastic without any issues. It sub moa with the factory rounds I have tried and with the Hornady's its a ragged hole and this is with the factory trigger. The trigger is the only upgrade I am planning on the lower. I am planning on picking up a couple more uppers for fun. Something lighter for chasing Coyotes and probably a 300 blackout for deer.

Went ahead and put money down on an Anderson upper, which was in stock, and pre-paid for an Anderson Lower, which will be in next Friday. I read some reviews and am not sure that was the best one for the money, but I'll trust in what the guy I trust told me. Hope ammo doesn't sky rocket, because I just laid down $650 for a gun. I'm not in a position to buy a couple hundred bucks worth of ammo right now.

Congrats, the beauty of these is that they are the small block Chevy of the gun world and if there's something you like better you can change it.
