Does kilo 5k have ab elite on board? If yes, it will. It's very important to sync your ab elite device to the new ab app prior to doing anything else to get the free elite upgrade.

I don’t think the 5k does. I think only the 8k and 10k does

Older kilo2400 did as well. Quick easy hack, go to sporting goods store and sync up to new unit in store for free elite version? Worth a try! Maybe I'm getting this wrong, do you already have AB elite app purchase? If you do, you'll need the app to get solutions past the 5ks limit. However once 5k is synced it'll use the distance and sensors from 5k for solution.

On the AB elite app where do you enter the altitude or density altitude for the corrections? That’s the 1 value I can’t seem to find the place to manually enter.

I have the Sig 8K and like that interface but the AB elite version is nice as backup as I can manually input data to get a correction. I just want to do some testing between the AB and Sig Kilo apps to make sure they are both giving the same corrections.

I saw a post by one of the AB guys that they incorporated station pressure/humidity/temp over density altitude as it's "more accurate". I'm sure they will be pressured (no pun intended) to add it as they update.

Another annoying thing I noticed is on the target card when you change the azimuth for specific targets it does not change the wind solution for that target direction. The wind affects all solutions globally.

It does sound like they are working dilligently to update the app with fixes.

I really hate that DA isn't an option. I can still get pressure from my Kestrel 2500, but it's not as simple as getting DA.

Hopefully they update that part of target card, seems almost useless if it doesn't change wind for target direction.

I gotta say, so far I quite prefer the old app and kind of regret "upgrading"

I already had AB paid for, upgrade was free, all my profiles swapped over. However, I don't much care for the organization of profiles. I have over 20 rifles, plus several loads for each rifle. Now they're all in one folder, VS prior it was folders based upon rifle, under each rifle were the designated loads. Hopefully the remedy some these lil quirks. Also, all my mv numbers have been changed significantly from my entered values.

This is what I noticed my app updated overnight and I don’t love it. The organization makes it tough to switch between loads and guns and I haven’t found how to switch to just da in the app now that’s going to be a hard no for me if I can’t

So it’s only going off station pressure and not an altitude?

Maybe I’m simple but I can go to a spot and guesstimate a decent density altitude. I really am not up to date on station pressure as it relates to altitude at all.

Meh, I like it well enough. I don’t shoot game far enough away to care much about atmospherics, and my range is right next to an airport. Of course that range isn’t long enough to care about atmospherics anyway. Seems like I can still use the app well enough to put a dope card on a rifle stock.

As far as a guesstimate, you can take your elevation/1000 and subtract that number from barometric in inHg
