Hey folks,

Was recently given a gift card to cabelas/bass pro shop and was curious what you all would purchase from them? Looking more in the realm of small gear/accessories that might be useful on 1-2 day hunts. Appreciate your time.

Funny, people trash them, but Ive bought my last two rifles from them, all online in their used section. In and out both times in under 30 minutes, paid no shipping, only 10 bucks for the background, and if you buy a firearm from a state that does not collect sales tax on firearms, you dont pay the tax either.

BP/Cabela's is endlessly trashed on RS. However, there is no one else offering a recurring deal like the 10% off Mondays. They even honor it on Swaro. I don't believe there is any other retailer that will do that.
They will also let you use it on reloading supplies sometimes and there is no hazmat fee if you pick up in store.

Ended up getting decent enough deals on powder and primers

For fishing the 10% days are nice for reels that have MAP pricing

Well, they have to do something to stay relevant.

While cabelas isnt what it used to be, there are still quite a few good deals.
Constant 10% off on mondays is nice
I wouldnt look there for a deal, but sometimes they surprise you

EDIT:

Looking right now 1/28/26
Weatherby 307 for $600
Franchi momentum elite for $500

Plus a few other good gun deals

I have their credit card and they are one of the best for working in recurring deals plus you can occasionally find some really good pricing on certain things.

Take for example Cyber Monday, I bought a Browning Citori, it must have been old stock because it was listed at $2,810 while everyone else had it for $3,000+. With their deal I was able to get 10% off plus I got 15% of the total as cash back which effectively knocked the sell price from $2810 to $2149.

Now if you just have gift cards to spend then you could either pick up something on one of their sales or check out a product that has a minimum advertised price where most retailers all charge the same price.
