I have to go to gulf shores for a wedding in the middle of June. Trying to find something to hunt within a reasonable distance for a couple days while all the women prepare for the wedding. Willing to pay for a short guided trip.

Not much to hunt down this way that time of year. Coyotes, hogs, or bullfrogs maybe.
If you're into fishing, I'd recommend an inshore trout/redfish trip or an offshore snapper or tuna trip depending on the type of experience, amount of meat you want to take home, and budget. There's also bowfishing, not sure if there are outfitters in AL, but there definitely are some a couple hours west in Louisiana.

Alabama Resident here .
Not much to truly “hunt “ down there at that time except for what has been mentioned (Hogs, Coyote, Frog Grabbing) would be about it…

Now If you’re SCUBA certified… there are several groups that do Spear Fishing charters (Underwater Hunting) and the Gulf is your Oyster . Be prepared for Deep (120-140’) dives. I think I’ll be shooting a tournament then.

If not scuba then I would look into taking a deep sea fishing charter . Plenty of big snapper if you know where to go.0E7B4FD3-73F4-4CC2-B056-09537FE53359.jpeg

Went there in 2020/1 (can't remember, around covid). I am not a beach person or a poboy person.

We are going back middle of June (I think 5th-15 or some like that), from the Midwest.

I informed my wife either her suby is getting a hitch and the boats coming for fishing, or she can take her suby and I'll take the truck and boat, we can alternate who the kids ride with

Really is a top 5 beach though.

Only thing to hunt around Gulf Shores in June are groups of wholly unattractive yet marginally rich middle-aged chainsmoking women who wear more makeup than circus clowns and have feet that are rougher than Poseidons most powerful sea storm, They are taking 3-5 day vacations while staying in their oil executive ex husbands long forgotten condo and talking loud enough about his new 22 year old trophy wife to give you a potential aneurysm.

You dont need a qualifying license and non residents have better draw odds than residents. Stay downwind of the Ann Taylor perfume, find a local buffet and hunt them over bait. Sit on the cocktail shrimp and wait for the herd bull. Play your cards right and you might end up luckier than a box of cereal with a leprechaun on it. Good luck.

All that is to say, if you are married and/or taken, anything on the gulf coast in June is going to be in the water and probably a chartered fishing trip. But re-read this after you’ve been in gulf shores a few days and tell me I’m wrong…..

Go over to "Doc's" restaurant and get you a
Spider Burger or The Beach House in Gulf Shores.
About the only 2 places I will eat at down there.

Split tail at the Flora-Bama.
That used to be my haunts. When I'd go there with my buds, they joked that the best way to get women was to set up a gill net at the back exit when I walked in the front, because any self-respecting woman was going high-tail it.
